It has been more than a dozen years since i last pulled an all-nighter for a television event of history. Many of the faces are the same though a little older.
Many Canadians were invited to the wedding of Wills and Kate. David Furnish, husband of Sir Elton John, Autumn Phillips, mother of Queen Elizabeth II’s first great-grandchild, Hilary Weston, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and a few others. They are all attending. Also invited is Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Mr Haerper, who has a role in the show Murdoch Mysteries, is one of only two head of state or head of government invited to the wedding of Wills and Kate to refuse to attend. The other is the King of Cambodia. He claims to be too busy campaigning thanks to the election brought about due to his government being found in contempt of parliament a month ago. What a class act he is! If one needed more reason to not vote for the Conservative Party Of Canada contempt for the marriage of the future monarch is about the top of the list one could write. Former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were among those not invited.
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge (to be) are to wed in a few hours yet and word is that Kate’s dress will be from Alexander McQueen. Will it be a vintage from Mr McQueen himself or a new dress from Sarah Burton, who now runs the late McQueen’s fashion house?
