ABC's Detroit 1-8-7

21 September 2010 on ABC

Detective John Stone Detroit 1-8-7 is "a throwback to an earlier era of cop shows when steel-edged realism was still novel and there was a thrill to watching terse, streetwise detectives on shows like Dragnet and Kojak cajole witnesses and browbeat suspects."

Detective Louis Fitch Detroit 1-8-7 stars D.J. Cotrona (skin, Windfall, Love Is The Drug aka Addicted To Her Love) and Michael Imperioli (Life On Mars, The Sopranos) as narcotics and homicide division detectives with the Detroit Police Department. The series also stars Natalie Martinez (Suns Of Tucson), Aisha Hinds (True Blood, HawthoRNe), Shaun Majumder (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle), Jon Michael Hill (although principally a theatre actor he is in the upcoming Falling Overnight), James McDaniel (life as we know it, NYPD Blue), and Erin Cummings (Dante's Cover, Charmed, The Bold And The Beautiful).

Detroit 1-8-7 was created and is executive produced by Jason Richman (Bangkok Dangerous, Swing Vote, Bad Company) and comes from ABC Studios and Mandeville Films. Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor, Masterwork, The Day After Tomorrow [writer]) directed the pilot.

For those who think that "Save Our Show" campaigns are futile, what do you have to say to the broadcaster joining in on the campaign? The below video is from the Detroit 11pm news of 20 March 2011, immediately following the season 1 finale of Detroit 1-8-7.
