Journeyman is a romantic mystery-drama about Dan Vasser, a San Francisco newspaper reporter and family man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives. Along the way, he also must deal with the difficulties and strife at work and home brought on by his sudden disappearances.
However, his freewheeling travels through the decades reunite him with his long-lost fiancée Livia -- which complicates his present-day life with wife Katie and their son.
Journeyman stars Kevin McKidd (Rome, De-Lovely, Grey's Anatomy) and Brian Howe (The Pursuit of Happyness, Evan Almighty) as newspaper journallist Dan Vasser and his editor, Hugh Skillen. The series also stars Gretchen Egolf (The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Hangover), Moon Bloodgood (Day Break, Terminator Salvation, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!), Reed Diamond (dollhouse, Franklin & Bash, Homicide: Life on the Street), and Charles Henry Wyson (LOST, Gary Unmarried) as Dan & Katie's son.
This series has one claim to fame that not everyone knows of. Yes, the story is brilliant once you 'get it' but that is not it. You see it everywhere now. It has spawned many competitors and knock-offs. The techie guy on NCIS, Timothy McGee, has an iPhone. So does Special Agent Callen on NCIS LA. There are other shows where the iPhone has appeared and been a central tool of crime solving but it appeared first in Journeyman.
Journeyman is a production of 20th Century Fox Television. Kevin Falls is the executive producer and principle writer; Alex Graves is an executive producer and director of the pilot.
