Aidan suggests to Josh they move in together as a means of protection and support. Josh is skeptical but eventually comes around as he wants to try ‘being human’. They find a place, but discover it is still occupied by Sally, the ghost of their landlord’s dead fiancée. Sally can’t remember how she died, and is afraid of what might happen if she leaves the house. Aidan’s sympathetic, but Josh wants her gone. Sally is ecstatic to have roommates who can see and hear her.

Picking up from the cliffhanger of the last episode, even though Aidan has given in to Bishop’s temptations and is indulging in fresh blood given willingly at a secret vampire club, the voicemail indicator on his cell phone jars him from his reverie. After hearing Josh’s frantic message, Aidan is able (just barely) to save Emily by using his vampire speed to get to the hospital and let her out before Josh completes his transformation.
